Wood preservatives include Acid Copper Chromate (ACC); Alkaline Copper Quaternary (ACQ); Bis-(N-cyclohexyldiazeniumdioxy)-copper (Cu-HDO); Borates; Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA); Chromium; Copper Azole (CA); Creosote; Cyproconazole; Micronized Copper; Pentachlorophenol; and Propiconazole. See treated lumber instead.

Disposal

Wood preservatives require proper disposal. If you can't use it or give it away, bring containers to the Kitsap County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Facility at no charge. Package products carefully for transportation. See facility hours at the website below.

Empty containers may be disposed as garbage. Remove lids so your waste hauler can see the container won't leak.
