Disposal
  1. Storing oil rags at home: Follow the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) fact sheet for instructions on drying and storing oily rags. Label metal cans with a description of the contents, like "Solvent- soaked rags."
  2. The Household Hazardous Waste Facility accepts properly-stored oily or flammable rags. Use the fact sheet above to learn how oily and flammable rags should be stored and delivered to the facility. We will reject bagged or loose oily rags. Visit the facility webpage for hours and instructions on using this facility. Large loads require an appointment.
